Celebrating my Beloved on our 47th Anniversary
My beloved is radiant and respected, distinguished among myriads. His head overflows with the wisdom of the ancients. His eyes shine as the sun’s rays over Jerusalem at dawn. His cheeks are like jasmine tea leaves and mounds of fragrant herbs found at Siem Reap. His lips are sweet, dripping honey and cinnamon from Vietnam. His arms are muscular and strong, ready to protect in the jungles of Cambodia. His body is lean and masculine, rising in Ha Long Bay, majestic and peaceful. My beloved’s legs are columns of marble found in the Taroko Gorge, tried and strong. His appearance is like the Dolomite Mountains, bold and magnificent. His mouth speaks words of kindness, and he is altogether desirable.
This is my beloved, and this is my friend.
I am my beloved’s and my beloved is mine.
Adapted from Song of Songs 5:10-16
May he kiss me with the kisses of his mouth!
For your love is better than wine. Song of Songs 1:2
2014 has been a year of distinction, a year of challenges, a year of recognition, a year of new opportunities.
You met 2014 and all it brought from the foundational values and priorities you adopted many years ago.
I am honored to walk beside you. I revel in your success, and I thrive in your love.
Life with you is an abundant banqueting table.
May your 64th year of life be filled with joy, peace,
opportunities, and adventure.
Happy Birthday, my love.
May you kiss me with the kisses of your mouth!
For your love is better than wine.
Father, You have given me a great treasure in Keith. Fill him with a double portion of the Holy Spirit and pour out Your perfect grace, peace, and wisdom upon him abundantly. Thank you, Father, for my beloved husband and friend.

From the East Coast to the West Coast,
From Italy to California,
From military life to academic life,
From sickness to health,
From travelers to tour guides,
From side-by-side to hand-in-hand.
Forty-three years tasting life.
From traipsing across the globe to home,
From him as student to her as student,
From his career to both careers,
From his study abroad to our study abroad,
Forty-three years living for each other.
Forty-three years laughing.
Forty-three years dancing.
Forty-three years adventuring.
Forty-three years uniting.
Forty-three years kissing love.
I am my beloved’s, and my beloved is mine.
