God’s gift of marriage takes us on adventures, mountaintops and valleys, successes and trials.

How are you and your spouse doing during this pandemic?

Six years into our marriage, Keith, our daughter of 18 months, and I moved to Clark Air Base in the Philippines. He was a JAG (lawyer) at the highest courts-martial rate installation in the world.

That was 43 years ago. Imagine the isolation we felt from our friends and families. No cell phones, no internet, and no landline phones until we moved on base. Connections with our families were through cassette tapes, yes cassette tapes, and letters.

Reflecting God’s Love in Marriage

But we all, with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as by the Spirit of the Lord. 2 Corinthians 3:18

As sons and daughters of God, when we focus upon our Lord and Savior, His character, His attributes, and His actions, the Holy Spirit transforms us, empowering us to reflect God’s love and His glory. Our perspectives change, and we begin to see others as Jesus sees them, men and women He died for on the cross … sinners loved by Jesus.
