Joyful Prayer in the Midst of Trouble

“I will sing of the LORD’s unfailing love forever!
Young and old will hear of your faithfulness.
Your unfailing love will last forever.
Your faithfulness is as enduring as the heavens”
(Psalm 89:1-2).

In the midst of his anguish, the psalmist (Ethan) begins his prayer with praise and worship. He recounts God’s majesty, power, mercy, faithfulness, and covenant that David’s descendants would reign as kings forever. Jesus is a descendant of David.

Prayerfully Pausing … A Marvelous Moment

There are times when the words don’t come. Days when I’m so distraught, that words can’t describe the depth of my pain. Nights when I’m too exhausted to pray. Hours when I’m not sure what to pray. Minutes when I realize that the compromise soured. Friend, have you been there? Unexpected Marvelous Marriage Moment

Happy Monday! Let’s start the week off with a Marvelous Marriage Moment.

Daddy was usually ready before Mama, and he waited in their formal living room. When she finally appeared, she lifted her arms, smiled, and twirled for Daddy. He clapped and told her how beautiful she was. She bowed her head and smiled. The perfect beginning to a love-filled evening.

Praise God in his sanctuary;
praise him in his mighty heavens!
Praise him for his mighty deeds;
praise him according to his excellent greatness! Psalm 150:1-2 (ESV)

We praise God for who He is and what He has done. He is pure and holy. There is none like Him. He created the world, including you and me. We are God’s workmanship, His poem, and He prepared good works for us to accomplish. He equipped us to achieve works that would honor Him, Ephesians 2:10.

God deserves praise.

Our husbands also deserve praise.

When people ask you about your husband, what do you tell them?
