Feel like you’re jammed in traffic all the time? You’re going here and there. There’s no time to rest, no time to enjoy this life you’re living?
You’re busy doing good. Maybe you’re taking care of the kids or grandkids, and there’s soccer practice, homework, dance lessons, dinner, lunches to pack, science project, and in between you’re getting groceries, cleaning the house, doing laundry and helping the neighbor with her sick mom.
You’re visiting the sick, delivering meals to shut-ins, and teaching a Bible study.
You’re busy doing good at work. You are tied to your phone and your computer. There’s the social media for work and for yourself. You need to write that report, and the meetings take the day away. When you get home, you cook dinner, help the kids with homework, bathe them, put them to bed, snuggle with your husband, put him to bed, then you settle in to get the work done for the next day at the office.
The “To Do” list is 10 sheets long and growing.Continue reading The Secret of Rest

Remembering the men and women who sacrificed their lives, limbs, health, families, or sanity to preserve America’s freedom.
Thank you to all the men and women, past, present, and future who have served in the military and a special thank you to their families for their very real sacrifices.
We are honored by all that you sacrificed. You have personified the values and priorities of true Americans.
Thank YOU for YOUR service. Because of you, we live in freedom.

Blessed is the nation whose God is the LORD,
the people whom He has chosen as His heritage! Psalm 33:12
The United States of America was bought with the blood of our colonial soldiers and the protection of God Almighty, and it is preserved by the blood of our American men and women soldiers and the prayers of Christians. Freedom is hard won.
Thank you to our military members, veterans, and their families for the sacrifices that they have made, both apparent and those that are unspoken.
Thank you to our Father in heaven. Oh, LORD, You promised that if Your people who are called by Your name will humble ourselves, pray and seek Your face, and turn from our wicked ways, You will hear, forgive, and heal our land. LORD, hear, forgive, and heal our land; return America to You.
Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom.
