Freedom Cost Everything … Remember & Thank

Endure suffering along with me, as a good soldier of Christ Jesus.
Soldiers don’t get tied up in the affairs of civilian life, for then they cannot please the officer who enlisted them.”
2 Timothy 2:3-4

Today, we remember those military members who focused on the goal ahead. They knew their mission. They trained for their mission. They lived and died for their mission. Their suffering, their sacrifices, their deaths won and preserved freedom in America.

They laid down their lives for freedom. We honor these good soldiers and their families. They did not get tied up in the affairs of civilian life, for they focused on their mission.

May we all focus on our mission for Christ and be good soldiers. Just as we can sing “My country ’tis of thee, sweet land of liberty …” Christians can sing of our liberty, our freedom from sin and freedom in Christ Jesus, our Savior.

Today, will you say a prayer for all the families and friends who have lost a military member in the battle for freedom?

God of all comfort, we thank You for the men and women who gave their lives for the cause of freedom. Comfort their families and friends. Reveal to them the difference they made to preserve our freedom. Our fallen heroes have left us with the great treasure of liberty. Lord, we want to honor You with that treasure. Cause our focus to be upon You and not the world we’re walking through. Bring revival Lord. Cause Your people to pray, to humble ourselves, to turn from our wickedness and to call upon Your name. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Please thank a military member, a veteran, and their families for the sacrifices they have made. Do it today!

Soldier on, dear Christian!
