Keith and I were blessed by Guido Orsini as he transformed our boring white fireplace into a stunning piece of art. As he painted, he shared his love of opera as well as his love for creating beautiful works of art. Guido is walking in the gifts that God has given him in an extraordinary manner.

For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for
good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them. Ephesians 2:10
That word “workmanship” is poiēma, we get our word “poem” from this. According to Strongs, it means “works of God as creator.” Have you thought of yourself as God’s poem? Think of it. We are God’s poem!
As God’s poem, we are created in Jesus for good works or deeds. He has equipped us for those great works, and He prepared them before the foundation of the world.

The Lord loves beauty, and it is natural that we respond with beautiful worship in that special way He has equipped us.
Then Moses said to the people of Israel, “See, the LORD has called by name Bezalel the son of Uri, son of Hur, of the tribe of Judah; and he has filled him with the Spirit of God, with skill, with intelligence, with knowledge, and with all craftsmanship, to devise artistic designs, to work in gold and silver and bronze, in cutting stones for setting, and in carving wood, for work in every skilled craft. Exodus 35:30-33

Sometimes, we get carried away with all the cares of this world. We tend to focus on the earthy things, like food, clothing, work, and that never-ending “To-Do” list. Jesus reminds us that God provides, and His provision is beautiful.
And why are you anxious about clothing? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow: they neither toil nor spin, yet I tell you, even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these. Matthew 6:28-29

If God created the world in beauty, do you suppose that He thinks of us as His masterpiece? After He created man and woman, He said that His creation was very good.
The heavens declare the glory of God, and the sky above proclaims his handiwork. Psalm 19:1

Our responsibility: we must walk in the beauty God has prepared for us. What a blessing to know that God has prepared the works for us to walk in!
But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light,
we have fellowship with one another, and the
blood of Jesus his Son
cleanses us from all sin. 1 John 1:7
My prayer
Holy and Mighty Creator, we praise You and stand in awe of Your holy beauty. Show us the works that You have equipped us to walk in, and give us the courage to step out in the light of Jesus, accepting His cleansing and fellowshipping with one another. Thank You, Lord, that You are a God of beauty and provision. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
Please share in the Comment Section the works that God has prepared for you to walk in with our readers.
