Today is our National Day of Prayer.

The Scripture for this day is 2 Samuel 22:29-31.

“O LORD, You are my lamp. The LORD lights up my darkness. In Your strength I can crush an army; with my God I can scale any wall. “God’s way is perfect. All the LORD’s promises prove true. He is a shield for all who look to him for protection.”

Father, You are America’s lamp. We are in darkness because of our sin. We turn from our sin and ask for Your forgiveness. Light up Your way for us to follow. Your strength can crush the evil in America. Cause Your people to be courageous for You. Your way is perfect. Your promises are true and faithful. Be America’s shield. Bring an awakening and a revival in Your church. Bring glory to Your name, O LORD God, Lord of Lord and King of Kings. In Jesus’ name we pray, amen.
