I recently shared what God was teaching me about Romans 16 with the women of Calvary Chapel Beaumont. Romans 16 is filled with Paul’s love for the church in Rome. It also describes how God gifts His people for action to serve.

Andrew MacLaren wrote about Romans 16:1-16.

“The world was then broken up into sections, which were sometimes bitterly antagonistic and at others merely rigidly exclusive. … But here are Paul the Jew, Phœbe the Greek, and the Roman readers of the epistle, all fused together by the power of the divine love that melted their hearts, and the common faith that unified their lives.”

God uses each one of us if we surrender to Him. God hears and God acts on prayers according to His will.

Paul framed the letter to the Romans with the gospel.

That is the ultimate goal of the gospel: the gospel awakens and strengthens faith that leads to conformity to Christ, which displays the glory of God.

Romans 16:25-27 (NKJV)

Loving Father, You alone are wise. You, alone, are able to set us on the firm foundation of the Good News that Jesus paid the price for our disobedience. Thank You! We trust You with all our hearts, minds, and souls. We want to obey You, for we trust You. Guide us in using the gifts You have given us to glorify Your name. Amen.
