“When the words of God enter into the chambers of the heart then light is scattered on all sides,” C.H. Spurgeon.[i]
“Your testimonies [commandments] are wonderful;
therefore my soul keeps them.
The unfolding of your words gives light;
it imparts understanding to the simple,” Psalm 119:129-30 (ESV).
My prayer for you is that you will find that God’s Word is unfolding in your minds and hearts so that these holy words light your path to understanding more fully what the glorious riches of abiding in Jesus are.
We live in a dark world, but believers are not of this world. We are:
- Surrendering our lives to God
- Abiding and walking in the Light of Jesus
- Anointed by the Holy Spirit
- Studying God’s Word
- Taught by the Holy Spirit
- Transformed by the renewing of our minds
- Loving God
- Loving one another
- Walking in righteousness
- Waiting on the promise of eternal life
Pause and take joy in your position in Christ.

Keep your eyes on things above, sons and daughters of the Most High. We see the signs of the times, and we see victory won by the King of Kings and Lord of Lords.
Pause to Pray
Lord of Heaven’s Armies, we pause to be still and meditate upon You. You reign over all creation. You are the Lord of Heaven’s Armies, the Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end. You are our Mighty God, Wonderful Counselor, Prince of Peace and Lord of Lords. You fight our battles and defeat all our enemies. You pour out your love upon Your sons and daughters and bless them with every spiritual blessing. Your Word is a lamp to our feet and a light to our path in this dark world. Light our way. Jesus, You are the way, the truth, and the life. Keep us in Your way. In your precious name, we pray. Amen.
