THE Christmas Miracle

“When the people saw him do this miraculous sign, they exclaimed, ‘Surely, he is the Prophet we have been expecting!’” John 6:14

Jesus had just fed the crowd of 5,000 men plus women and children with five loaves of bread and two fish, and the crowd wondered if He was the Prophet Moses promised that God would send. (Deuteronomy 18:15)

A miracle of multiplication.

Today, we need a miracle of multiplication. Multiplication of healing, financial recovery, job restoration, kindness, peace.

We need a miracle of multiplication, but it only comes with the greatest miracle.

The Christmas Miracle.

God loved the world so much that He gave the greatest gift He could give to you and me … His Son, Jesus. Jesus emptied Himself of the glory that He shared with God in heaven to enter the world as a baby. He grew in wisdom and favor as His mother treasured all that she observed about this One who would become her Savior.

When He was 12-years-old, Jesus astounded the religious teachers as He listened and asked them questions. (Luke 2:46)

During His ministry on earth, He healed the sick, gave sight to the blind, calmed the seas, raised the dead, and much more. Miracles.

Yet, the greatest miracle was His gift. He bought this gift with His life, death on the cross for you and me. He paid the price for our sins.

Emptied of glory. Became a Man. Blessed the Earth. Laid down His life. Rose from the dead.
Gives Eternal Life.

THE MIRACULOUS GIFT!

Each day in December, I’ll explore one thought about Jesus on Instagram and Facebook. Won’t you join me and add your thoughts? Let’s grow in our understanding of THE Christmas Miracle together.

Glorious Giver of Life, we bow in humble adoration as we ponder Your miraculous Gift. Holy are You, Lord. We praise Your name, for there is no other name under heaven given among humanity by which we can be saved. You emptied Yourself of all and gave all to us. “Thank You” seems trite in comparison. Yet, we do give thanks. We rejoice in You and Praise Your Name! Amen.
