On the next day the large crowd who had come to the feast, when they heard that Jesus was coming to Jerusalem, took the branches of the palm trees and went out to meet Him, and began to shout, “Hosanna! BLESSED IS HE WHO COMES IN THE NAME OF THE LORD, even the King of Israel. John 12:12-13
The One Who raised Lazarus from the dead
The Teacher Who astonished rabbis, Pharisees and Sadducees
The Healer Who opened blind eyes, cleansed the spots of lepers, and opened deaf ears
The Miracle Worker Who fed thousands, walked on water, and calmed the sea
The King of Israel Who comes in the name of the LORD
The Victor Who rides on a donkey in peace
Hosanna! Save Now!
Wave palm branches, lay them down
Carpet the ground with our coats
Hosanna!
The Kingdom of Heaven is at hand
Hosanna!
The Lamb of God Who takes away the sin of the world
The Perfect Sacrifice Who sets His eyes on the cross
BLESSED IS HE WHO COMES IN THE NAME OF THE LORD
My prayer for you
Father, pour out the Holy Spirit upon Your people, so that we understand in a fuller measure the entry of Jesus these six days before His last Passover on earth. During this next week, bless us with the ability to meditate on that last week. May we grow in an intense practice of Your great Presence. Thank You, Father, for Your incomprehensible love and mercy. We love You, Lord
