Do you ever wonder where you are going? Have you been driving down the highway and talking on the phone – hands-free of course – and you missed your off-ramp? Go ahead, admit it. I’ve driven past my exit and gone a mile or so before I even noticed!

If we multitask in the fast-paced lifestyle that we live in America – so much so that we get distracted and make some wrong turns – do you suppose that we make some wrong turns in our walks with God?

We get caught up in our busyness and our problems, and sometimes we get so tired of the hustle, that we want to run away from it all.

How to Serve God with Godly Fear

Therefore, since we are receiving a kingdom which cannot be shaken,
let us have grace, by which we may serve God acceptably
with reverence and godly fear. Hebrews 12:28

Have you knelt before the Lord … buried your head in your hands and cried out to the Lord? Perhaps it was after you read a passage in the Bible that completely overwhelmed you with the sense of God’s holiness and your utter sinfulness. Maybe there’s a devastating illness in your family, and you cried out to the Lord. Or you are overwhelmed by an unexpected blessing that is so big that it could have only come from the Lord.

What do you think this man is praying about? Whatever it is, he is praying with reverence, with humility, with respect to God Almighty … with godly fear.

How to Receive a Kingdom Promise

Kingdom promises require kingdom boldness, kingdom confidence. The Christian’s kingdom can’t be shaken.

Receiving the kingdom requires action: serving God through grace in great reverence and Godly fear in awe and trembling.
