Therefore, since we are receiving a kingdom which cannot be shaken,
let us have grace, by which we may serve God acceptably
with reverence and godly fear. Hebrews 12:28

Have you knelt before the Lord … buried your head in your hands and cried out to the Lord? Perhaps it was after you read a passage in the Bible that completely overwhelmed you with the sense of God’s holiness and your utter sinfulness. Maybe there’s a devastating illness in your family, and you cried out to the Lord. Or you are overwhelmed by an unexpected blessing that is so big that it could have only come from the Lord.

What do you think this man is praying about? Whatever it is, he is praying with reverence, with humility, with respect to God Almighty … with godly fear.

Jesus, the Perfect Sacrifice, Loves You

Frustrated because you can’t seem to be the kind of person that you want to be?

Although you get up in the morning and you tell yourself that you will be kind, not offend, and have a great outlook, you slip up before you get out the door.

You think no one cares.

There is someone who cares deeply. In fact, He loves you. Jesus loves you.

All of us have sinned, fallen short of God’s requirements. That’s you and me. We’re all failures.

The consequences of that sin is death and separation from God forever–hell. But God, in all His glory, loved you and me so much that He sent His Son, Jesus, into the world.

Brooding Over the Past?


Do you remember the house you were brought up in? Do you remember it looking this run-down? When I lived in my home in Weleetka, Oklahoma, it was not this run-down. When I saw what it looked like about three decades after I lived in it, I brooded over it for awhile. There were good memories, and there were bad memories, but they were a part of my family … my past … my being. It was sad.
