Remember Jesus’ Love for You

Easter celebration preparations can be tiring, can’t they? Be honest. Let’s pause to remember the reason for the celebration. Remember Jesus’ love for you.

We disobeyed God’s laws. Fellowship with God was broken. A price was set.

Jesus Paid the Price

Let’s pause to remember that Jesus paid the price that we owe because of our sins. A blood sacrifice. Death.

Jesus suffered unimaginable pain on the cross.

His back shredded by the scourging.

The crown of thorns proclaiming His kingdom–blood dripping from His head.

His hands and feet nailed to the tree.

Darkness blanketing the earth.

Alone.

The wrath of God poured out on our Redeemer.

The ransom paid for our sins.

It was finished.

All for the world. All for you. Forgiveness. For you.

Remember Jesus’ love for you.

Fellowship Restored

Sunday came. Victory over death!

The cross wasn’t the end but only the beginning. We now have a high priest sitting at God’s right hand speaking on our behalf. And look up; Jesus is coming again!

Remember Jesus’ Love For You and Rejoice!

As we remember God’s love for us, let’s ask our Father in heaven to empower us to reflect His love upon all we meet. Our families. Neighbors. Friends. Strangers.

May this time of remembrance of Jesus’ offering of Himself so that you and I could become one with Him and each other for eternity deeply penetrate your every thought, word, and action.

“And He took a cup, and when He had given thanks He gave it to them, saying, “Drink of it, all of you, for this is My blood of the covenant, which is poured out for many for the forgiveness of sins.” (Matthew 26:27-28, ESV)

May God’s love penetrate your heart.
