“I am the vine; you are the branches. Whoever abides in Me and I in him, he it is that bears much fruit, for apart from Me you can do nothing.”
John 15:5
The women in our church are studying Experiencing God: Knowing & Doing the Will of God. The first memory verse is John 15:5. Abiding in Jesus describes 2023. I pray that 2024 will be a year of hearts ablaze for Jesus.
In 2023, we experienced the nourishment that only Jesus could bring to our lives. He has surprised us with divine appointments and opportunities to help each other and members of our communities.
Abiding in the Vine nourishes us to the point that sweet fruit naturally develops. You’ll notice that the grapes on my grapevine were small, but as they cling to the vine, they grew plump and sweet. One of my neighbors called them sweet pearls.
Apart from the Vine, we can do nothing. We will just shrivel up and die.
Clinging to the Vine, God’s daughters have supported each other in their struggles, in their pain, and in their grief.
Holding fast to the Vine, new opportunities have sprung up at the last minute to help community members and schools.
Resting in the nourishment of the Vine, sweetness is dripping from the fruit.
Hanging from the Vine and basking in the Light of the sun, a fire has sparked that is spreading throughout the church.
I look forward to what the Lord will do in 2024.
May your heart be set ablaze with passion for our Loving Father who is God Almighty.
