True Love Forever

“Behold what manner of love the Father has bestowed on us, that we should be called children of God!”

1 John 3:1a (NKJV)

Behold the love of the Father. Behold the love that calls us His children. Behold true love forever.

Jesus brought a love into the world that the people did not understand. It was a love that would give its all for an everlasting relationship and peace with others. It was a love that would call His followers “friends.” It was a love that would suffer unimaginably and die for others.

“But to all who did receive Him, who believed in His name, He gave the right to become children of God, who were born, not of blood nor of the will of the flesh nor of the will of man, but of God.”

John 1:12-13 (ESV)

Jesus holds out His love gift to all who will receive it. It’s the gift of life with Him forever. It’s available to all who will open the gift and cherish it. It’s a gift of a forever family.

Eternity in the presence of our Father. Eternity in the presence of Jesus. Eternity in the presence of the Holy Spirit. Eternity in the presence of His children.

Eternity is now and forever in the love of the Father! True love forever.

Father, thank You that we are Your children. Your love is greater than we can understand. You have shown us Your great love through Your Son. We cherish Your love. Deepen our love for You as we walk with You. Thank You for a forever life with You. Amen.

What surprises you about God’s love?
