A wife's joy journey begins with a focus on God - understanding how He loves the husband and wife as His son and daughter. Unmet expectations and disappointment dissolve when they use their gifts to glorify God. The wife can ditch her disappointment, take her husband by the hand and step onto the Joy Path. For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them.” Ephesians 2:10 The Good Shepherd lays down His life for His sheep. He provides, protects, leads, corrects, honors, and loves them. He knows them by name, and they know Him. In biblical times, names were filled with meaning, sometimes expressing a particular trait of the person or something that happened. For example, the name “Jacob” means “heal holder.” Jacob and Esau were twins, and Jacob was born holding onto Esau’s heal. Sarah (Abraham’s wife) named Isaac, “he laughs,” because she laughed when God told Abraham that she would have a son in her old age. And the name above all names, Jesus, means “Jehovah is Salvation.” Our spiritual clothes get dirty and we need to wash them and hang them out to dry. Wrinkles sometimes appear, and we need to heat up the iron and steam them out, applying pressure where needed. Has the heat been turned up in your life? You're melting. Stirred in all directions. Cherished possessions or health scooped up and thrown into the fire. Got has granted us His precious & magnificent promises, so that by them we may become partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world by lust.” 2 Pe 1:4 May you sing praise to the LORD throughout your day and exalt His holy name. May the Good Shepherd provide all your needs and give you peace. May He take you by your right hand and lead you on the path He has created for you. May He protect you from evil and correct you when you stray from His path. May He prepare a banqueting table for you and anoint you as an honored guest. May the Living Water overflow in your life. May you know His goodness, mercy, and love as you dwell with Him forever. Amen.
