Is God leading you?

Desert - 1

“God led the people about, through the way of the wilderness of the Red Sea” Exodus 13:18

Slavery, Israel’s Egyptian past and present.

Four hundred years toiling.

Glory, Jesus’ past, present, and future.

Thirty-three years earth-walking.

Stepped into the Red Sea … slavery to wilderness.

Night-long dry ground walking.

Up from the Jordan water … carpenter identity to itinerant preacher.

Fullness of time.

Crying out to God … preparation.

Forty years waiting.

Praying to His Father … temptation

Forty days fasting.

Mana, water, on the wilderness path.

Forty years depending.

Hunger, thirst, on the temptation walk.

Fortieth day renewing.

Stepping into the Jordan River.

Promised day arriving.

Healing, preaching, discipling.

Three years ministering.

Circling Jericho walls.

Seven days obeying.

Submitting to the cross.

Six hours obeying.

Walls tumbling down.

Victorious day.

Stone rolling away.

Day of salvation.

Death swallowed up in victory!

My prayer

Father, thank You for walking the Israelites from Egypt, the land of slavery, to the Promised Land, the land of freedom in You. Thank You for giving us a picture of Jesus in all history and in all creation. Your love is incomprehensible. Your patience is overwhelming. Show us how to walk possessing the promises that You have poured out upon us. May all glory, power, honor, and majesty be laid at Your feet. Even so, Come, Lord Jesus! Amen.
