9 Years Healed! 9 Lessons Learned

And walk in love, as Christ also has loved us and given Himself for us, an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweet-smelling aroma. Ephesians 5:2

Nine years ago today, the Lord miraculously healed me of fibromyalgia and chronic fatigue syndrome (declared a miracle by my fibromyalgia physician). For about 15 years, I was a walking pharmacy … pills to deal with the pain, pills to make me go to sleep, pills to wake me up, pills to counteract the side effects of the other pills.

Bright lights, loud noises, and strong fragrances bothered me. My husband, Keith, stopped wearing cologne during those years.

Most department stores place the perfume counters at the main entrances. I had to hold my breath, walk like a racer past the perfume counters (not easy for a fibromyalgia patient), and hope that I walked far enough to avoid a whiff of fragrance.

I feared getting into an elevator. At times, I was on the verge of a flair by the time the door opened, and I could escape the heavy perfume.

Fear, pain, fatigue, hopelessness, and brain fog vanished on November 21, 2010.

Then came the lessons.

God’s Love Gift, the Woman

The Bible begins with Creation and the marriage of a man and woman, Adam and Eve. The Bible ends with a new creation and the marriage of Jesus to the church, His bride. Throughout the Old Testament, God refers to His chosen people, Israel, as His wife. In the New Testament, the church is referred to as the bride of Christ.

Marriage must be important to God.

Could it be that God designed marriage to reflect
His love for His people?

Thank You, Veterans & Military Members

Strong and courageous.

Our active duty military members and veterans have given their all to protect the freedoms that we Americans take for granted.

On this day, please thank military members, veterans, and family members for the sacrifices that they have made in order to preserve the freedoms that were so hard won.

And as you think on this day, say a prayer for them.

The LORD bless you and keep you;
the LORD make his face to shine upon you and be gracious to you;
the LORD lift up his countenance upon you and give you peace.

Numbers 6:24-26

Thank you to all service members, veterans, and their families!

Jesus Chose A Woman to Be the First Evangelist

I loved him, but I couldn’t please him. I was so ashamed when he divorced me. Maybe I’ll please this man. No.

Five men. Five divorces.

I‘ll just live with this man.

The women snub me. They talk behind my back.

I’m so alone. Passed from one man to the next.

No friends.

God, have You also rejected me?
