Why Believe?

He who was revealed in the flesh,
Was vindicated in the Spirit,
Seen by angels,
Proclaimed among the nations,
Believed on in the world,
Taken up in glory. 1 Timothy 3:16

Jesus is Lord!

Praise His name in all the earth!

He who is the blessed and only Sovereign, the King of kings and Lord of lords, who alone possesses immortality and dwells in unapproachable light, whom no man has seen or can see. To Him be honor and eternal dominion! Amen.
1 Timothy 6:15-16

The Jesus Who Surprises … A Review

And beginning with Moses and all the Prophets, He interpreted to them in all the Scriptures the things concerning Himself. Luke 24:27

Dee Brestin’s The Jesus Who Surprises invites the student of the Word to walk on the Road to Emmaus with two of Jesus’ disciples. Not recognizing Jesus, they told Him that their hopes had been dashed when the One they thought was Israel’s Messiah had been crucified on the cross, buried, and now His body was missing.

Praying God’s Love on Your Husband

Love suffers long and is kind; love does not envy; love does not parade itself, is not puffed up;
does not behave rudely, does not seek its own, is not provoked, thinks no evil;
does not rejoice in iniquity, but rejoices in the truth;

Love never fails. But whether there are prophecies, they will fail; whether there are tongues, they will cease; whether there is knowledge, it will vanish away. …
And now abide faith, hope, love, these three; but the greatest of these is love.
1 Corinthians 13:4-8, 13

Head knowledge is good. Scripture knowledge is great. Heart knowledge of the Scriptures prompts me to prayer. I love praying God’s Word.

I also love my husband of 48 years. As I read 1 Corinthians 13, I began to focus upon my relationship with the Lord and with Keith and decided to pray portions of this Scripture.
