Are You Willing?

“For thus said the Lord GOD, the Holy One of Israel,
‘In returning [repenting] and rest you shall be saved;
in quietness and in trust shall be your strength.’
But you were unwilling,”
Isaiah 30:15

The Lord GOD, the Holy One of Israel is telling His people to repent, to turn from our wicked ways. In repentance and rest, we will be saved, delivered. In quietness and trust, we are strong.

So far, America has been unwilling.

Have you prayed a great prayer? A prayer that requests something that is impossible for you to accomplish? Was it based upon Jesus and His ability to accomplish it?

Today, perhaps you’re thinking that your circumstances are more than you can overcome. Your hope has fled from you. You do not believe that you can rise from the troubles that you are facing.

There is hope.

Celebrating Fathers

“Nistetter. What kind of name is that? No one knows how to pronounce it.”

Throughout my childhood, my Daddy would remind us what kind of name that was. We were Nistetters, and we were held to a higher standard because of our name.

He loved us so much that, like our Father in heaven, he called us to excellence, even though we wanted to slump sometimes. He called us to stretch ourselves.
