From a blind date that neither of us wanted to go on to studying together and tossing bread to the ducks at the duck pond, love captured our hearts. Even the separation that sickness brought could not redirect our thoughts. Then, the day came. We were one, united in marriage. Together as one … 55 years of love … what a blessing you are my Beloved!

“But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control; against such things there is no law.”
(Galatians 5:22-23)
With each year that we have walked this earth together, we have grown closer and deeper in love with each other. The love we knew when we were first married was nothing compared to the love we now have. With the Lord by our side, our love has united us in joy, filled us with peace even in the troubled times, and taught us patience and kindness that led to goodness. Through it all, you have been faithful, gentle, and self-controlled. You are like no other. Thank you for 55 years of growing more in love with you each moment of the day.

“I am my Beloved’s, and my Beloved is mine.” Song of Songs 6:3
