That I may dwell in the house of the LORD
All the days of my life,
To behold the beauty of the LORD,
And to inquire in His temple.”
Though life’s struggles surround me
My heart shall not fear.
Though my “to-do” list multiplies
God’s peace will not disappear.
My eyes look up.
For I seek the things above.
I present my body and mind
So I may dwell in His love.
All creation bids me to gaze
Upon His beauty all my days.
To learn of Jesus and His ways
For all eternity face-to-face.
LORD God Almighty, Maker of the heavens and earth, You are mighty and glorious. Your beauty is beyond description. May the world behold Your beauty and see Your glory, Your holiness. May we fall to our knees in sorrow as we see our sinfulness. Cause us to turn from our ways and seek Your face. May the new year bring an awakening to Your love. May the new year bring many to Your love. For there is only one thing that matters, Your lovingkindness that brings us to repentance and eternity with You. We bow before You. LORD save! Dwell in us and transform us. In Jesus’ name, we pray, amen.
