Paul writes in Philippians 1:21-22a “For me to live is Christ, and to die is gain. If I am to live in the flesh, that means fruitful labor for me.”
What does living for Christ and fruitful labor look like for you?

My purpose is to be a writer for God’s people. To use all of the skills, experience, and continued lessons He has given me to share with others both in teaching and in encouragement. 🙂 For me to be the best branch of the True Vine I can be.

My purpose is to show others, through my writing and my life, how much Jesus loves them, just the way they are, no matter what they’ve done or what’s been done to them, and that He’s waiting for them with open arms. I know if He chose me, then no one is beyond His reach and His help. I’m with Paul when he says in 1 Timothy 1:16 (NLT): “But God had mercy on me so that Christ Jesus could use me as a prime example of his great patience with even the worst sinners. Then others will realize that they, too, can believe in him and receive eternal life.”

To me Living for Christ means to rest aside the things of this world that seem to bring us joy and focus on the talents and gifts God has given us and use them to encourage, uplift, and impact someone’s life no matter where they are around the world. For me, I feel that my purpose in life is to uplift, encourage, and impact someone’s life; even through serving someone, but to me; discipleship is about servanthood.

That’s a good question! I suppose in part it is being an extension of Christ to others…in how I act and speak…point others to Him.

My purpose? To “preach the gospel and disciple” in whatever way Christ gifts me to do so. In everything I do, I long to point to Christ. This is a wonderful question! Thank you for helping us evaluate our lives! <3
Lynn, So many of us haven’t asked ourselves that question and really focused on why the Lord has placed us on this earth. I’m glad that He has revealed to you why He created you. He has given you a beautiful gift and has equipped you to bless others as well as bless Him. Thank you for all that you do to point people to Jesus.
