4 Questions That Could Transform Your Walk with God

slide1

1. What changes would we make to our lives if we sought the Lord with all of our hearts?

“And why do you worry about clothes? See how the flowers of the field grow. They do not labor or spin. Yet I tell you that not even Solomon in all his splendor was dressed like one of these.” Matthew 6:29-30

God provides for His children. Jesus tells us what we should be focused on:

But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things will be added to you. Matthew 6:33

When we seek the Lord with all our hearts, we will find Him, and He will supply all our needs.

2. How would our lives change if we prayed to behold the beauty of the Lord each morning, each afternoon, each evening?

One thing I have asked from the Lord, that I shall seek:
That I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life,
To behold the beauty of the Lord
And to meditate in His temple. Psalm 27:4

David had one priority: to meditate on the beauty of the Lord. He had confidence that God answers prayer, and he acted as if God had given his desire.

3. What if we presented our bodies as living offerings, true worship? Romans 12:1

Give to the Lord the glory due His name; Bring an offering, and come before Him. Oh, worship the Lord in the beauty of holiness! 1 Chronicles 16:29

The Creator of the universe, our holy Father gave His only begotten Son, Jesus, to die on the cross to pay for our sins, and He rose from the dead to conquer death. He now sits at the right hand of God advocating in our behalf. All this, so that we could live with Him forever.

We owe our eternal life to Jesus.

4. What if we lived with the conviction that God looks upon us as His poem, His beauty?

For the Lord is great and greatly to be praised;
He is to be feared above all gods.
For all the gods of the peoples are idols,
But the Lord made the heavens.
Honor and majesty are before Him;
Strength and beauty are in His sanctuary. Psalm 96:4-6

The Lord made the heavens and the earth. He created you and me because He loved us before the foundation of the world. He calls us His workmanship, His poem (poiēma), Ephesians 2:10

My prayer

Holy Father, Thank You for displaying Your beauty in nature. The artistry of Your creation amazes us. You have created colors, textures, fragrances, shapes, and light to point us to Your glory, Your holiness, and Your love for us. Lord, You have blessed us. You have provided for us. You have loved us. You have given us Your all. You have redeemed us. You have given us eternal life. You are beautiful. You are holy. You are majestic. You are God Almighty. You ARE! Amen.

Please share in the comments section how your life would change if you walked each minute of the day in the knowledge of the beauty of God’s holiness and His great love for you.

    First, I would like to note that this is like the fragrance of Spring, refreshing and pleasing to my soul.
    If I walked every moment of every day with the beauty of God’s holiness on my mind and the insurmountable joy of knowing His undying love for me, I would not have a care in the world. Often I struggle with anxiety, depression, and obsession over trivial matters to God, which appear as stiff mountains to me. Today, I will operate under the complete understanding of who God is and who I am to Him, less anxiety and more peace. Thank you for this thought provoking, timeless work.

      Lady Jay, I am glad that you have decided to walk in the holiness of God throughout the day. To help drive that depression away, take Paul’s advice, “whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable, if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things.” Philippians 4:8 It’s difficult when you are focused on the brokenness of our situations. That’s why David would speak to his soul and ask it, “Why, my soul, are you downcast?” Psalm 42:5. He continues in Psalm 43, and then in Psalm 44, he recounts the works of God and ends up praising Him. I have set reminders throughout the house of God at work. The most significant one for me is a kite hung on the window of my bathroom. Every morning when I take a shower, I see it and am reminded that God miraculously healed me of fibromyalgia, now 6 years ago. Two months after God healed me, confirmed by my doctor, I ran on the beach flying a kite. God is good. He’s working in your life. He loves you. Keep physical reminders in your home to help you focus on His love, His holiness. I’m praying for you. God is good … all the time, God is good. God is holy. God loves you. Please let me know how your holy walk progresses. Many blessings, Karen

    Karen, this is a beautiful post especially for today and the beginning of a new week. He is continually revealing His changes in and through me as I pray and stay in His Word. I see it in others as the Holy Spirit reveals it. Have a blessed week. ~ Fran

      Fran, you are always so gracious. I saw those roses yesterday and was so touched at the Lord’s provision of beauty in February that I had to praise His glorious name and wonder at the message He would bring to me. This was a message I needed. What if I lived in the power and the promises of God’s Word? What changes would I make? 2017 will be the year of change for me. God is changing my direction, and I’m looking forward to the adventure. I’m so glad that He is working in your life, too. Isn’t He wonderful? Praise His Name!

      May you be blessed and bold in the Lord this week.

      Father, Thank You for Fran and her great love for You. Thank You that she is proclaiming Your goodness AND the Good News! Bless her writing and spread it throughout the nations. Have Your perfect way with Fran. Give her peace, joy, and wisdom. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

      Blessings,
      Karen
