A Promise Walk for 2016

Slide1

Did you know that God has promises for you in His Word, the Bible? One person found over 3,500 promises in the Bible.

Christians take Bible promises for their own all the time. They learn what the Bible has to say about the promise, and they pray for the promise to become reality. After a month or two and nothing happens, they decide that the promise is not for them and redirect their focus on another promise, always seeking a quick manifestation of the promise.

Many Christians do not know how to possess God’s promises. They quote Bible promises, and they feel good. However, they do not step out in faith and act upon the promises. Christians may acknowledge that God’s promises are for them, but they need to be equipped to walk towards God’s promises focusing upon the joy and the promise set before them.

In 2016, I want to walk with you on an adventure, a Promise Walk. What if  you and I walk towards the exceedingly great and precious promises that God has in store for us?

Want to walk this path with me?

In the “Comment” section, tell us the promises you want to explore. We’ll explore them together, taking the context into consideration as well as the entire Word of God … no “name it and claim it.” Straight from the Word of God.

Here’s a promise:

But if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all generously and without reproach, and it will be given to him. But he must ask in faith without any doubting, for the one who doubts is like the surf of the sea, driven and tossed by the wind. James 1:5-6

First, let’s ask God for wisdom and His will.

It’s bold.

It’s a bit scary.

It’s an adventure of a lifetime.

My prayer:

Father, You alone are worthy; You alone are the Almighty; You alone are wise; You alone are powerful; You alone equip Your children to possess Your promises, and through the promises, we are able to bless others. Give us wisdom as we embark on this adventure. We want to learn of You, learn of Your promises for us, learn how You want us to walk this earth. Thank You for equipping us to accomplish Your works that You prepared from before the foundation of this world. We love You, Lord, and wait upon You in 2016.

What’s the promise God has put on your heart? Share it in the “Comment” section.

Happy New Year and New You!

Praise the Lord! Father, I pray that you will continue the healing work and spiritual blessings that You have begun in Mary. As she walks with You, fill her with Your great grace, love, peace, and joy. Show her the great works that You have prepared for her to do as You equip her to accomplish them. We praise you and wait in eager anticipation for all that You have for her. Bless the Lord, O my soul and all that is within me, Bless His holy name!

Mary, please continue to let me know how you are. Blessings, Karen

I also am believing in God’s promises for healing.
I’ve been misdiagnosed with fibromyalgia, Hashimotos, and now I’ve been told that though I do have an autoimmune disease, I need to be tested further to see if it’s rheumatoid arthritis, lupus, lymes disease or something else.
I know God is an a God of confusion so He didn’t make my immune system to be confused!

Hi Lisa, James 1 promises that if we pray for God’s wisdom He will give it to us abundantly. Father, we pray for Lisa and her care givers. Pour out Your perfect wisdom on Lisa, her family, and her caregivers. We know that Your wisdom is complete and true, not like the world’s wisdom. Fill Lisa with Your peace and help her to recognize Your presence and work in her life. Thank You, Lord, for what You’re doing in Lisa’s life. We love You, Lord. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen

Lisa, please keep me updated. I look forward to seeing God’s work in your life.

Lisa, Checking in with you. How are you handling your situation? God is in control and has you in the palm of His hand. May He pour out His wisdom upon you and your doctors. May the Lord smile upon you and give you a warm comfort that only He can give. May the Lord bring you what you need in His perfect timing. Blessings, Karen

Right now I’m believing God’s promises on Healing. My left foot was broken in March 2015 While healing from 2 surgeries I developed post-traumatic arthritis and now a 3rd surgery is needed.
Your testimony gave me great hope that God will heal my foot completely either supernaturally or through the operation. Either way I praise and trust Him completely.
Still very hopeful that an operation will be unnecessary.

I will walk this path with you daily.

Mary, Thank you for your trust in God’s healing touch. God uses health care professionals to promote natural healing, and He heals miraculously. We’ll trust God and thank Him to touch you in His perfect timing and His perfect way. Thank you for walking the Promise Walk with me. I’ll need your feedback and promptings along the way. Today, please read Psalm 103. I’ll read it today, praying that it becomes yours. Read my post on Praying the Scriptures. http://possesshispromises.com/2015/12/10/pray-the-scripture-find-rest/ May the Lord richly bless you and empower to possess all the promises He has for you. I had my ankle fused on January the 25th. I saw my surgeon yesterday (March 15th) and he and I are both very pleased with the outcome. I can’t put weight on it for another 3 weeks, but praise God I have had no pain since Feb. 1st. And that has been the main objective! That and learning to “wait on the Lord.” It has been over a year since I broke my leg/foot. So many good things have happened since then. Rom. 8:28 has been my go to verse and God has not disappointed. I know the Lord has a new purpose for my life this year and I’m grateful for your blog. Praying His promises and renewing my mind. Shalom, Mary Lynn
