Love is … 44 years of marriage

Love is patient and kind; … Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. Love never ends. … So now, faith, hope, and love abide, these three; but the greatest of these is love.
1 Corinthians 13

Throughout these 44 years, you have been patient and kind. You have born my sickness and pain, believing that God was in control, hoping for healing. Your love endured, and others watched in awe.
You have been a living testimony that:

Many waters cannot quench love,
Neither can floods drown it. Song of Songs 8:7

I am yours, and you are mine, my Beloved.

You are my love.

My prayer:

Thank you, Father, for the gift of marriage. How we love each other … How we love YOU! He is my beloved, Father, just as the church is Jesus’ beloved. Thank you for this wonderful shadow of the depth and intimacy of Your love for Your people. I look forward to the deepening of this love in the years to come.

Thank you. Yes, God has richly blessed us. Reading Song of Songs to Each other tonight. One of our anniversary rituals. May the Lord richly bless you. Karen
