Keith and Karen at the Taj Mahal. Impossible with fibromyalgia and chronic fatigue syndrome.

Bless the Lord, O my soul,
And all that is within me, bless His holy name.
Bless the Lord, O my soul,
And forget none of His benefits;
Who pardons all your iniquities,
Who heals all your diseases;
Who redeems your life from the pit,
Who crowns you with lovingkindness and compassion;
Who satisfies your years with good things,
So that your youth is renewed like the eagle. Psalm 103:1-5

In the fall of 2010, I was at the end of my hope. I was on reduced work; my doctor was trying to get me to agree to go on disability, and he had recommended that I needed to think about resigning from my job. I knew that God had work for me to do in my current job, and I clung to that knowledge.

Yet, I just got worse.

On November 21, 2010, God miraculously healed me of fibromyalgia and chronic fatigue syndrome. That Sunday night, I took no pain or sleep medication. I slept through the night until 7:00 a.m. Even with medication, I had not had such a restful sleep in, perhaps, a decade.

Coincidentally, the next afternoon, I had an appointment with my doctor. My doctor, a dear Christian, listened, asked many questions, and then said, “This could be good, Karen. What do you want to do?”

I went back to work and am no longer on fibromyalgia medication.

Five things that I learned since the Lord’s healing:

  1. God requires a walk of true faith. Friends asked me if I was afraid to say that I was healed. What if this was the placebo effect, and two weeks later, I still had fibromyalgia. Jesus asked many people He healed to do the impossible, like the man with the withered hand–stretch out his hand.
  2. God creates opportunities to point people to Jesus. Because of my experiences, I am now able reach out to others in similar conditions and give them hope. This has occured in one-on-one conversations, opportunities to speak, and a Bible study on the promises of God, healing, and walking through chronic illness.
  3. God equips us for His plans. Without the healing, I would not have been able to accomplish what I am doing now, including accompanying my husband on study abroad courses. Each one has provided an opportunity to point students to Jesus.
  4. God has a sense of humor. I had to learn how to be well, and our first physical demonstration that I was well was on New Year’s Day. I ran on the San Diego beach flying a kite.
  5. God blesses His children beyond what we can think or imagine. No limitations. I had limited God. I did not realize the power of the promises in the Bible.

My prayer for you

Our Great Healer, You know the suffering that Your children are enduring. Thank You that You are carrying them through their valley and that You are in control of their lives. Draw Your children to a much deeper intimacy and knowledge of You as You work Your perfect will in their lives. Bring healing to their bodies and their souls. Bless the Lord, O my soul, and all that is within me, Bless His Holy Name!

What is the Lord teaching you as you walk with Him?

  1. Hi Karen, What a wonderful testimony for the glory of God! I’ve had MS for over 30 years now. The past two years I’ve been earnestly praying, hoping and believing in my healing from the Lord. I believe He’s healing me through a process of getting to know and love Him more. It’s been wonderful reading the Bible scriptures for the first time in my life! My son believes I will be healed, but my husband doesn’t believe in it. That is what makes it so hard for me, his disbelief. I so wish we would read the Bible and pray together, but it’s just not his thing. I still believe in my healing, and thank God for it all the time. I’m nearing 60 and just pray that he will turn towards the Lord and believe with me for this healing. I know he loves me and wants me healed, but his disbelief is very disappointing. Do you have any advice for me? Thank you so much for just listening to me! I’m happy for your healing!

    1. My dear Gretchen, I know it must be hard to accept, but I believe that your MS has been a gift to you. It has pointed you to God’s Word, and you are enjoying getting to know God in a much deeper way.

1 Peter 3 says: “In the same way, you wives, be submissive to your own husbands so that even if any of them are disobedient to the word, they may be won without a word by the behavior of their wives, as they observe your chaste and respectful behavior. Your adornment must not be merely external—braiding the hair, and wearing gold jewelry, or putting on dresses; but let it be the hidden person of the heart, with the imperishable quality of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is precious in the sight of God.”

Pray that you would reflect God’s love upon your husband and that he would see Jesus in you.

God still heals today. God calls Himself, Jehovah Rapha, “I am God your Healer.”

In addition to Christ the Healer, The Pursuit of God had a great impact on me. You might get this small book.

One of the things I learned was that I was limiting God with the traditions and untrue teachings I grew up with. God is so much bigger and majestic than what our minds can imagine, and His plans for you are much bigger than you can imagine.

Gretchen, please press into the Lord. Study Abraham and Joseph. God gave them promises, and then decades later, they saw the fruition of those promises fulfilled. Yet, Abraham did not see a nation in his lifetime.

I was 60 when the Lord healed me.

It’s OK that your husband doesn’t believe that the Lord will heal you. You do, and your son does. Perhaps your healing will bring the change in your husband that you’re praying for.

If you really know that the Lord has told you that He will heal you, start thanking Him for that healing, press into Him, devour all the Scriptures about healing, devour all the Scriptures on waiting on the Lord. And Actively Hope. Colossians 1:27 says “God willed to make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles, which is Christ in you, the hope of glory.”

Gretchen, if you have accepted Jesus as your Lord and Savior, put off the old woman (Colossians 3) and put on the new woman for Christ is in you, the hope of glory. You might want to watch this teaching (I teach our Women’s weekly Bible Study).

Gretchen, I’m praying for you and your family. Please keep me updated.

It’s important that you reached out, but more important that you are now in the WORD.

Grace and peace to you from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ. Karen

      1. Thank you Karen! I do thank the Lord for healing me, for over two years ago he whispered it in my heart. As I said, it’s been a journey of getting to know and love God more. I believe that if my husband could witness the power of God’s glory, he would be a believer! I have accepted Jesus as my Savior and He is in my heart! I will keep you updated…thanks again and God Bless you and your family.

  2. Awesome testimony. Did you at a point feel its all over though you kept on praying earnestly? Why does it seem as if the sickness intensifies despite the fervent prayer. My big sister is battling with sickness and doesn’t seem to be improving despite our continueous prayers upon her life

    1. Yes, I did feel like I misunderstood that the Lord was going to heal me because I had deteriorated so much. The weekend the Lord healed, I decided that I was going to resign from my job. That Sunday, I told the Lord that I did not care if He healed me, I just wanted more of Him. He healed me that Sunday.

The Lord deals differently with each person, but total surrender was what I needed. Job had an encounter with God in chapters 38-42. That was his breakthrough. You can’t orchestrate it. It’s the Holy Spirit at work. Jesus healed each person differently.

Mabel, a friend I lost contact with for decades got in touch with me on Facebook. She had been praying for my health for 40 years. Those prayers made a difference, and her prayers were very much on target. I was blessed to be able to tell her that the Lord had healed me.

Your prayers are making a difference. They are making a difference in your sister’s life AND in your life. Continue to pray without ceasing and ask the Holy Spirit to perfect your prayers.

Please keep me updated on how you and your sister are.

Father, I pray that You will touch Mabel and her sister with Your healing touch and that You will pour out Your perfect wisdom, grace, and peace upon them as they seek You and meditate upon Your Word. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

  3. Awesome testimony. Did you at a point feel its all over though you kept on praying earnestly? Why does it seem as if the sickness intensifies despite the fervent prayers

  4. Hii Karen…Such an inspiring testimony…Praise the lord….I am a 17 year old boy…..I am suffering from Irratable bowel syndrome from past 3 years…at starting it was worse….bt now it is better…bt another diaster struck me….i got affected by prostatis from last 4 months….Pls pray for me to Jesus christ…

    1. CR, I am so sorry that you are enduring this trial. I was sick all my life until the Lord healed me at 60. That may not sound encouraging, but it really is. During that time, my husband of 46 years was told by my parents that I wouldn’t live past 30, I’m 66. Friends prayed, and their faith became stronger. Through the pain, I became close to the Lord. Through the pain, the Lord worked in my family. God uses the pain, the trial to work out good for His children. Irritable bowel syndrome is rough, and I just looked up Prostatits. CR, the Lord can heal you. He is your healer. He performs miracles AND He uses physicians and your own efforts to get better. Now is the time to press into the Lord, to pray, and to study the Scriptures in faith. The Scriptures were for those in biblical times AND for today. God worked miracles then AND God works miracles today.

Father, You are the Great Healer, Maker of the world, Ruler of the universe. We give you honor, glory, and blessing. I pray that You bless CR with more of You, more of Your Word, more faith, and in Your perfect timing, healing, so that he will be able to use this trial to point others to You. Father, thank You for Your work in CR’s life. Bless him, I pray. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

CR, please touch base with me every few weeks to let me know how you are doing. I’ll be praying for you.

      In His care, Karen

    1. Martha,

Yes, indeed! God is good … ALL THE TIME! Praise His holy Name!

May the Lord bless you and keep you in awe as you contemplate the height, depth, width and intensity of His love for you and His gift to the world–JESUS!

  5. This explains why I need to drink coffee so much since the age of 16.
I even lost my job over it and now I am 53 years old still battling the fatigue. I guess all I can do is say scriptures that are geared to fatigue. Thank you so much for the story, I do believe my healing is coming.

    1. Angela, The Lord’s plans for you are good, wise, and loving. Consider the goodness of God and thank Him for His love and His vision for your future.

Father, bless Angela with the deep, deep knowledge that You love her beyond her understanding. Lead her by her right hand and carry her when she is too tired to take that next step. Infuse Your Word in her mind and spirit and give her faith and trust in You.

You are God Almighty, our Creator, our Healer. Touch Angela with Your Healing touch and use her to bring glory and pleasure to You and to point others to You.

We praise You, Lord, and give You glory. In Jesus’ name, we pray, Amen.

        1. Angela, Please press into the Scriptures, thank the Lord for His work in your life, and pray. I’d appreciate it if you let me know how you are doing from time-to-time. May the Lord richly bless you and keep you. Karen

  6. Hi Karen, read your story and its motivated me. I’m a 23 year old boy and I just started the career and life I wanted. This month I became so tired and it got worse. The Dr’s have done blood test but everything is normal. I don’t want to say I have cfs because whatever a man thinks so he will be but I’m scared. I try to keep calm. My life only just started and I feel the devil is trying to snatch it away from me. Please pray for me. I just want Jesus close to me and I know I’ll be healed. I also want to serve him ardently now this is happening. I don’t want my faith to dwindle. Please pray that I return back to health and I will align my whole life with him.

    1. Hi John, Please continue working with your doctors to try to find a diagnosis. The Lord gave us physicians and medicine as special gifts. You must be your own advocate and become very knowledge about your body and condition.

When I am experiencing challenges, I ask the Lord what He has for me to learn. Press into the Lord. Read Isaiah 6, Revelation 4 & 5. God is holy, He is all-powerful; He is good. Jesus is your Savior, Creator of the Universe and Creator of your body. Matthew 8:17 says that Jesus healed all who came to Him–not in the same manner. Some were healed instantly and one was healed progressively (the blind man). However, Jesus does not heal everyone. At the Pool of Bethesda, He healed one man. He heals those He has chosen. You say that you know that He will heal you. I knew that He would heal me and started thanking Him. I thanked Him for 2 years before I was healed. During those 2 years, I read every Scripture on healing and studied God at work in the lives of those He gave dreams and promises to. Abraham and Joseph were 2 key figures. They waited many years before their promises or dreams came true. All the while, they walked their faith walk, trusting in the promises.

John, I had fibromyalgia and chronic fatigue for about 15 years, many of those years, it went undiagnosed. Please continue to strive to get a diagnosis. On those nights when the pain was too horrible for me to sleep, I propped myself up with pillows, read and prayed the Psalms. David cried out to God about all his troubles, all his agony, and then he turned his eyes off his troubles and onto the majesty of God, and praised sprang forth. Those were painful, and, yet, some of the sweetest times–the presence of God was heavy in the room.

Father, I pray for John. Fill him with a double portion of the Holy Spirit. James tells us to ask for Your wisdom, not the world’s wisdom, and You will pour it out upon us abundantly if we only believe. Father, give him Your perfect wisdom, and give his doctor Your wisdom. We ask for a diagnosis, Lord. We ask for Your healing touch to restore John’s health, so that he can walk the path You have for him to walk. He loves You, Lord, and wants to serve You. Empower him to surrender his body to You, transform his mind, and watch You at work in him.

John, if you would like to discuss this in privacy, please feel free to email me at

      I’m praying for you. Karen

    2. This if for John. You might want to look at the youtube videos of Kenneth Hagin, and watch Kenneth Copeland on TBN. Jesus healed ALL who came to him. The one’s he didn’t heal didn’t believe. I’ve not read in the Bible where it says it’s not God’s will to heal everyone who came to him. It’s always God’s will to heal.

      1. Hi Nanci, Jesus does heal all who come to Him whether in this world or in eternity. It is written that Jesus approached one man and healed him at the pool of Bethesda, and there were many waiting on the angel to stir the waters. Jesus also must have walked through the entrance to the temple as the lame man was at the entrance. The lame man was healed by Peter as he entered the temple after Jesus had gone to heaven, Acts 3:11. God’s timing is best. In this world, Jesus promised that we would have tribulation, but to be of good cheer, because He has overcome, John 16:33. Paul told Timothy to take a little wine for his stomach, 1 Timothy 5:23. God deals with us all in the best way for our spiritual lives, “And we know that God causes all things to work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose.” Romans 8:28

        God bless you, Nanci

        1. Your statement above “however Jesus does not heal everyone” is not from God and is contrary to scripture. Jesus stated that “all things are possible to him who believes”. You said you read “Christ the healer”. This book speaks against the theology that you are stating above and warns that this kind of thinking destroys faith. If you are going to be a representative of christs healing power on the web, then I ask that you take this wrong theology to the Lord in prayer and also search the scriptures for the truth. Making statements like the above only serves to destroy faith and keep the sick in bondage

          1. Rob, Thank you for your response. Yes, I know that “Christ the Healer” implies that everyone who comes to Jesus can be healed. He had a special gift of healing.

Do you believe that Jesus uses the afflictions of others for good? What if Joni Eareckson Tada had been healed after her diving accident? Through her disability, she has made a great impact upon creating access for those with disabilities, and she has witnessed powerfully to the glory of God. She struggled with not being healed. She was prayed for, anointed with oil, and wrestled with God. She is living her life pointing people to Jesus. She will be ultimately healed, whether in this world or in heaven.

Revelation 21:4 says, “And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes; there shall be no more death, nor sorrow, nor crying. There shall be no more pain, for the former things have passed away.” I’m looking forward to that day.

Some try to place the blame for not being healed upon the sick person. That is cruel. I went through condemnation. They say there is some sin or unbelief that is keeping the person from the healing. That could be, but again, it might not be. Only God knows.

Pastor Chuck Smith, founding pastor of the Calvary Chapel Movement, experienced many miracles of healings and other miracles. When asked why some people were miraculously healed and others were not, his answer was “I don’t know.” I don’t know either. But in heaven, we will all be healed and praising God.

May the Lord richly bless you, Rob. God still heals today, and I pray that there will be an outpouring of healing in America, both physically and spiritually. Karen

          2. Karen, thank you for your gracious response (below). It is always Gods will to heal everyone and those that believe and pray that way get the most results. If we allow any doubt about this in our minds it weakens (or even destroys) our faith and affects our ability to receive. We are in a spiritual battle and the battleground is the mind. Many if not most diseases are demonic in nature. Would it not be God’s will to free us from the oppression of the enemy?? In the book of Acts it says that Jesus healed all that were oppressed of the devil. Later, after the cross, the bible states that Jesus delivered us from the power of Darkness (past tense). In other words we can now stand on God’s word confidently and declare our freedom in Christ as something that has already been accomplished. Sooner or later we will see the manifestation of our victory. Some diseases are not demonic in nature (such as Joni’s accident), so perhaps there is a different dynamic with these situations (I.e. the need here is for a miracle rather than healing or deliverance and miracles take greater faith of which few have), I don’t know but I do understand these situations to be much harder to overcome and I would never judge someone for not receiving a miracle in this type of situation. Also I would most certainly agree that they can be used of God to be a blessing to others in a similar situation. Regardless we must never give up on God’s promises whether we experience them or not. There have been others who have had accidents and believed God for recovery from their injuries and through their faith were able to see some results in the physical realm, however did not receive a perfect recovery. However they still saw results because they fought for it! None of us walk in perfect faith but we must always aim to see as much of Gods will accomplished this side of heaven as we can. If we don’t see results, we must never say it is because it wasn’t God’s will. Rather we continue on in “in Christ” resting in his perfect faith and not feeling condemned either knowing that God loves us (not because of our level of faith) but because we are his beloved children. There is no condemnation to them that are in Christ (whether we are healed or not). God bless you.

          3. Rob. Thanks for this explanation. I’ll share more tomorrow. I have a jam-packed day and evening at work. I look forward to our continuing conversations God bless you richly. Karen

          4. Rob, I also believe that it is God’s will to heal everyone. Sometimes, there’s a “wait” involved. I also know that we have been given a measure of faith. Even our faith is a gift and not something we can create. The Holy Spirit impressed upon me that God would heal me, and I believed. At a separate time, He impressed upon Keith that I would be healed. From that point on, we began to thank the Lord for His healing. We pressed into the Lord, studied the Scripture and thanked Him for His healing. Two years later, after I was totally broken and felt that maybe I misunderstood the Lord and was ready to resign my position, we went to a healing service. There, I told the Lord that I didn’t care any more about the healing, I just wanted more of Him. That night, He healed me. You’re right, it is a spiritual battle. I fought to keep the healing. Doubt, even aches and pains creeped in, but I knew He healed, and just thanked Him for the healing and stepped out in faith. But the faith was a gift from God. I even had coworkers doubt and express their doubts to me, worried that I was just experiencing a placebo effect from a spiritual high. I believe that sometimes, we need to be broken, all the way, before we will let the Lord heal. I believe that was my condition. You have a gentle and compassionate heart. Thank you for your commitment to the Lord.

Father, bless Rob and use him for Your great purpose. Fill him with a double portion of the Holy Spirit and give him the desires of his heart. Bless Rob with all spiritual blessings. In Jesus’ name, Amen

          5. Thank you Karen for providing further clarification. I agree that faith is a gift. As you know we do have a part to play in receiving it. We must seek the Lord in prayer and through his word, which you most certainly did as you waited for the manifestation of your healing. I also agree that there may be a wait involved in our healing. The scripture says that those that have been prayed for shall recover (implying a time lapse to the manifestation of their healing). Sometimes I wonder though if the waiting has more to do with our spiritual fitness as opposed to waiting on God but I can’t make a definitive judgement on that. Perhaps we need to be fully broken before we can receive as you have suggested but I don’t know for sure. Not all healing testimonies seem to line up with that experience. Regardless, I have to remember that it’s not required that I have this all figured out but rather rest in the truth that I do know. I am seeking the manifestation of my healing and the only truth that keeps me going is the knowledge that it is God’s absolute will for me to be healed and free from the enemy’s oppression. I appreciate all your encouragement to those that are sick and am so happy for you that you received your healing. May the Lord continue to bless you with peace, wholeness but most of all with a sense of his beautiful presence and love.

          6. Rob, You are right that healings and other ways that the Lord deals with His people don’t fit within a box or a formula, they are unique to fit His purposes and the needs of the people He is dealing with. Yes, not all healings are an outcome from brokenness. Mine was. I think the important point is that the healing should not become the premier desire of our hearts, but rather a desire to grow deeper and more intimate with God and that God would use that healing for His perfect purpose. After the Lord’s healing, I became bold about telling people what He had done, even to my superiors at work who were not Christians. They couldn’t deny that I had been healed, and they even told me how glad they were that I had been healed. Seed planting.

Rob, if you would like to continue our conversations in private, feel free to email me at I’m praying for you, Rob. Please keep me updated about how you are doing.

Father, touch Rob with Your healing touch. Manifest health in his body, and drench him inside and out with living water, pure, refreshing, and healing. Jesus, I pray that You will breathe on him Your peace, not as the world knows, but Your peace that passes all understanding. Holy Spirit, guide him in wisdom, truth, and joy. Father, You have great things in store for Rob. Thank You for him. Amen

Rob, today I told a coworker that she had hope and urged her to live in that hope. Rob, you have hope, a hope that knows no bounds. Live in that hope.

    1. Yes, God is so good and great! He uses the suffering, the trials, and the challenges to refine His followers to bless those in need. He blesses beyond imagination. He has blessed you, me and your followers with your creativity. Thank you for sharing your gift and magnifying the Lord. May the Lord richly bless you. Karen

  7. Hi Karen, your story has deeply moved my heart. Tonight I felt really happy and thrilled as there is a big big chance for me to have CFS – and that would finally explain all of the symptoms that I have experienced for years and the bad reactions I have had due to trying alternative medicine to heal these past few months. Apparently people who suffer from CFS undergo very slow detox processes. Anyway, reading your story has made me realize I also need to unlearn my concept of God and I believe that for the first time, I am asking Him to please take my heart and heal it. I would be thrilled if He would heal my body as well, but I just feel like I just had this spiritual awakening. It’s hard to put it into words. I’d greatly appreciate if you could keep me in your prayers. These past few weeks have been particularly difficult – the doctor even thought I could have Chronic Lyme that hadn’t been diagnosed. I’ve felt weaker, sicker, sadder and more depressed. I kept on telling myself that what was the point of being alive if at my age – I turned 30 back in February – I was so sick! I even watched a documentary and realized I much rather be dead than becoming a bigger burden to my family (I moved back with my parents 3 yrs ago) and it seems like every time I’ve tried to regain my independence, something has gone terribly wrong. I kept on thinking that I wasn’t God’s favorite and that He was punishing me for everything I had done wrong in life. Now I am able to understand that the fact that I was raised in a very dysfunctional environment was a starting point for many unhealthy coping mechanisms that were/are part of my life. I’ve felt like such a failure as years have passed by, unable to reach all of my goals when before becoming so “tired and experiencing this never ending brain fog and the crazy/inexplicable symptoms that were totally unrelated” I was such a highly functional, busy girl that would get everything done. Anyway, I am willing to make all the necessary changes to live a quality life, but most of all, to live a life with the certainty that God is by my side, hugging me, holding my hand, and that I will be healed.

    1. Hi Michelle, Please tell someone right now about your suicidal thoughts. Then, please read my post on my previous suicidal thoughts ( Sorry, I don’t know how to create a link in a reply.

I am praying for you and will continue to pray for you.

Getting a diagnosis is so very important. It took about 5 years for me to get a diagnosis. Don’t give up!

You are not a failure. God is preparing you for a great work, for His plans for you are good. He loves you dearly and is leading you by the hand through this shadowy valley. One day, He will lead you into the sunshine of the mountaintop. Lean on His loving arm during this walk.

Father, Bless Michelle with the knowledge that You love her and that You are leading her by the hand and sometimes carrying her through this valley, on the way to the mountaintop. Lord, You are Michelle’s Healer. Touch her with Your healing touch as she waits upon You. Renew her energy. Renew her spirit. Renew her passion for You. Pour out Your wisdom upon Michelle, upon her caregivers, and upon her family. Restore her body and her spirit. Thank You for Michelle. Thank You for the work that You are doing in her life. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen

Michelle, Please keep me updated on how you are. May the Lord bless you and keep you and may you feel His tender presence as you trust and wait upon Him. Karen

    2. Hi. My name is Jerry. I am a bladder, kidney, and prostate cancer patient. My illness has brought me closer to God than I ever imagined. I was diagnosed in 2010. But it took me this long to choose God as my healer (2016). I was ready to give up completely in December 2015. Just yesterday I received pathology results from Monday’s surgery that there is no new cancer. This is such a miracle.

My advice to EVERY reader is this:

Stop whatever you are doing and conduct an audit of your behaviors, habits, and relationship with God. Fix everything you can and align your life with God’s precepts and commandments. This is what I’ve done and now I am living constantly with Gods presence and healing. I know that God’s power in my life is infinite and that I am being used to reflect his healing and forgiving power.

      1. Jerry, Praise the Lord for His healing touch on your life! I was to the point of giving up on life, too. I’m glad that you did not give up. God has a plan to use your experience to help others. He has equipped you with a unique gift. You understand what it’s like to be beaten down and then renewed by our Creator, our Healer, our Comforter. God isn’t finished with you. He has mighty works for you to accomplish – works that He prepared just for you from before the foundation of the world. You’ve passed from the wilderness into the Promised Land. Now, you’re Promise Walk has gone from waiting into possessing. Possess your healing. Thank the Lord each day you get up and ask Him to send the person or persons He has for you to touch with His love that day. He will send you people to minister to. Would you do me a favor and keep in touch? Would you tell me the Promise Walk that God has for you?

Jerry, my prayer for you: Father, thank You for Your great grace in healing Jerry. I know that You have great plans for him. Make him sensitive to Your Word and the Holy Spirit’s guidance. Help him to love the people You send his way, and show him how to minister to them. Fill Jerry with a boldness to point people to You. Give him a double portion of the Holy Spirit, and renew his strength; empower him to mount up on wings like eagles, to run and not grow weary, to walk and not faint. Thank You that you still work miracles today. Bless Jerry and all those he encounters. Bless the Lord, O my soul, and all that is within me. Bless Your holy name. In the name of Jesus, we pray. Amen

  8. great blog, amazing healing. I have what you had and am going to be persistent with god and jesus until my healing manifests. I’m just so amazed that this is real and greatful, I’m very encouraged how did you get healed specifically did you thank jesus then believe and your healing manifested in your body over a time or did it manifest instantly. Just getting encouraged and finding materials and recently started going to church. I’m 26 and had this for last 10 years of life but so glad that there is a way out and a real god woohooo.

    1. Stefano, I am praying for you. I was sick most of my life. My husband married me thinking that I would not live past 30 (misdiagnosis), I am 63 now. Two years before I was healed, my husband, Keith, and I read Christ the Healer. Yes, I had read the Bible several times and the Gospels many times, but I had been taught that the miracles in the Bible and the gifts of the Spirit were for Biblical times and not for today. Until we put aside the “traditions of men” and took the Bible as living, breathing, and relevant to today, we had placed a fence around God. We had limited God. When we opened the gate on the fence and eventually tore it down, the Holy Spirit opened the Scripture to us gently, and we realized that God was going to heal me for His glory. That relevation was two years before I was healed. We believed God’s relevation to us and continued to thank Him in faith, not a manipulative thanksgiving, but real thanksgiving. We read every Scripture and book on healing that we discovered, but did not limit it to that. Abraham’s story, and the woman with the issue of blood became my stories. It was not until I had lost all hope, the doctors had no solution for me except for me to resign from my job and resign to a life of pain, that I told God that I did not care any more about the healing, I just wanted more of Him. That’s when He healed me AND gave me the desire of my heart–more of Him. It was a process of God gently showing me that He was going to heal me, and then, at a healing service, He healed me instantly. The next day, Keith took me to my doctor, told him our story, and he said, “This could be good, Karen. What do you want to do?” I told him I wanted to go back to work full time, and begin weaning myself from my meds. He agreed. A month later, he officially declared that I was miraculously healed. Stefano, I have seen people healed, and they do nothing with it. My healing was to point people to Jesus, to give God glory, not to enjoy the healing and do nothing with it. Your future healing has a purpose beyond the healing, just as the healings in the Bible pointed people to the holiness of God. May the Lord bless you with His gentle leading as the Holy Spirit opens your eyes to the great and precious works He has in store for you now and after He heals you. I am praying for you.

      1. thanks for the detailed reply, I went out and bought christ the healer. Yeah I definately want to glorify god with this healing and use it not just to get better but to point people to jesus with new confidence and testimony and also with gifts I have that at the present time I am unable physically to do.

really appreciate all the advice if you don’t mind I may contact you every now and then jus to keep encouraged.

        1. This is wonderful Stefano. The Lord will bless you in drawing close to Him. Remember to seek Him first and His kingdom–above your healing. Also, remember to remove any fences or limits that you have placed on God. What you will be encountering is different thinking. I had to unlearn what I had been taught–that miracles, healings, etc. were for the Bible times but not for today. They are for today, AND for you. Also, it’s not anything you can do. Everything is up to God. He is in control and has the best in mind for you. Abraham waited 25 years for Isaac, but he trusted God. I would be honored if you keep me updated or ask questions or ask for prayer. Lord, bless Stefano with Your perfect peace as he delves deeper into Your promises and Your nature. Thank you LOrd for his precious spirit.

  9. Dearest Karen, I hope you are doing well with your recovery. We are in Atlanta early for Thanksgiving because my husband surprised me a week ago Thurs and said we should move back to Atlanta! We have been gone 29 years! but this is where our 2 daughters are and our 3 granddaughters. He gave the excuse that they were growing up w/out us and if I had not just had a TIA and all the accompanying crazy side effects, I might have believed him. But I know and had confirmed by my daughter that indeed he wanted to get me closer to them for help with me as he sees me going down hill.
We found an apt today. it has underground parking with handicap right by the elevator and then covered walk ways all the way to the apt.Unless God does a huge miracle and keeps their only 3 bedroom unrented till we can come in January, we will have to settle for a very large 2/2. I can work in the 2nd bdroom and we can put the Murphy bed in there for guests. The rest of the apt is especially nice and clean=especially since they have just been completely renovated.
I am owed a lot of money by my law firm come Jan 1. I believe that if I get it all, there should be no problems getting there on time if we can get everything packed and somewhat divided that is oh and did I say anything about having to talk my landlord into letting me out of the lease early? yep got to do that too for this to work and I do think with some gentle persuasion it will be ok, we can leave her some things that we have added that really made the place sing. And for sure she wouldn’t have any trouble re-renting it! so could yu pray for the Lord’s will on all these things, please? and me, I am not sure that I am not headed for a more dibilitating disease . That was one of the major reasons we didn’t want a townhouse with stairs.
So I hope to talk with you soon. really talk to you.
    blessings on you Karen
    love , Cindy

    1. Oh my, Cindy, You are facing much. Please know that the Lord is in control.

Our Father in Heaven, You know the future before Cindy and her loving husband. Pour out Your perfect wisdom abundantly upon them as they make life-changing decisions. You have promised that if we ask for Your wisdom and do not doubt that You will provide it to us. I pray for Your wisdom and guidance in their lives, especially in the coming days. Touch Cindy’s body and mind with Your Healing touch. You are her Jehovah-Rapha.

And Father, at this time of Thanksgiving, bless Cindy and her family with abundant gratitude as they remember all that You have blessed them with and all that You are.

Father, You have blessed us so much. Thank You for Your great love and the great and precious promises and treasures that You have bestowed upon us. Bless Your holy name! In Jesus’ name, Amen.

  10. What a wondrous gift the Lord gave you two years ago, and I praise God for what He has done in your life. You are a living example that Jesus still heals today, and His power is available to all who believe and call upon His name. I wish you and your husband a blessed Thanksgiving, overwhelming with joy and praise. Love in Him, Dee

    1. Oh, Dee, God is so gracious and does work miracles and is at work in your life. Indeed, He has given me a wonderous gift, and it is to equip me for His work. May the Lord pour out His blessings upon you and your family to overflowing, and may you count all the blessings He has given you and give Him Thanksgiving. Wishing you much love, joy, and peace, Karen
