“Grace and peace be multiplied to you in the knowledge of God and of Jesus our Lord; seeing that His divine power has granted to us everything pertaining to life and godliness, through the true knowledge of Him who called us by His own glory and excellence. For by these He has granted to us His precious and magnificent promises, so that by them you may become partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world by lust.” 2 Peter 1:2-4
The Father has granted His followers an abundance of promises. One person has claimed that there are 3,000 promises in the Bible. Herbert Lockyear claims that there are 8,000 promises in the Bible. What if we were to claim just 100 promises? How would those 100 promises change us?
Let’s choose just two. Jesus said that He would never leave us nor forsake us. If He will never leave us nor forsake us, then we “can do all things through Christ who strengthens” us. If we really believed these two promises, if we really possessed those promises, how strong we would be. Nothing would be impossible for us. We would think bigger.
What promises will you possess today?
May the Lord bless you with strength as you possess His promises and “become partakers of the divine nature.”
